The 2020 IPC APEX Expo concluded successfully, drawing attendees globally to view emerging technologies in electronics manufacturing. On February 4th, 2020, Circuits Assembly Magazine & UP Media Group presented the 2020 SEA and NPI Awards Ceremonies.
The New Product Introduction (NPI) Awards recognize leading new products for electronics assembly over the preceding 12 months. An independent panel of practicing industry engineers selects winners, with judges chosen from experienced professionals having no affiliation to entrants. Evaluations consider creativity and innovation, compatibility with existing technology, cost-effectiveness, design, expected reliability, flexibility, maintainability/ease of repair, performance, user-friendliness, and speed/throughput.
PROMATION USA's President Gary Goldberg, Vice President Mike Goldberg, and Domestic Sales Manager Kevin Brennan accepted the 2020 NPI Award for Best Alternative Soldering Technology Category for the PANDA Soldering System. The platform features innovative robotic soldering programming methods and data aggregation software supporting Industry 4.0 advancement.
Mike Goldberg stated: "We are delighted to accept this award on behalf of all of our team members at PROMATION who have continually dedicated their time and effort into the R&D behind our line of premium automated solutions."
This represents PROMATION's third robotic soldering technology award in three years and fifth overall technology award in four years.
