Post SPI Sorting Conveyor

POST SPI SORTING SOLUTIONS

Considering the Post SPI Sorting Conveyor?

PCB handling equipment moves bare and populated boards between process steps — loading magazines, conveying, buffering, turning, inverting and unloading. It is the connective tissue of an SMT line: the machines that decide whether printers, placement and reflow run continuously or wait on an operator.

Post SPI Sorting Conveyor

PROMATION's NRC Series sorting conveyors inspect printed circuit boards following SPI inspection procedures. The system receives PASS/NG signals from the SPI machine after each inspection cycle. When a failure signal is received via SMEMA protocol, the PCB halts in front of an operator, and a finger mechanism lifts the failed board for examination while allowing passing PCBs to continue underneath. After inspection, operators can leave the board in place or manually remove it. Depressing a foot pedal returns the finger assembly to its starting position. If a PCB is detected, SMEMA enables continued transfer; absence of a PCB triggers conveyor reset. The station operates as a standard conveyor in pass mode, providing full end-to-end transfer capability.

Note: The PCB in fail mode is lifted over the top of the edge belt. Actual clearance is dependent upon top side height of components passing underneath the lifted PCB and if there are any bottom side components on the lifted PCB.

Questions

About the Post SPI Sorting Conveyor

How much does the Post SPI Sorting Conveyor cost?

Price depends on the configuration rather than the base machine — tooling, fixturing, feeders and options move it more than the model does. Tell us the part and the volume and we will send the range for a build that suits it, along with lead time from US stock.

What is the lead time on the Post SPI Sorting Conveyor?

PROMATION USA holds pcb handling in US stock, so a lead time is usually a delivery date rather than an ocean shipment. Configuration and testing happen here before the machine ships, and the engineers who set it up are the ones who support it afterwards.

Can we see the Post SPI Sorting Conveyor run our part before we buy?

Yes. Send us the board, the fluid or the fastener and our IPC-certified engineers will run it on the Post SPI Sorting Conveyor, film the result, and return cycle times and joint quality alongside a quote. There is no cost and no obligation.

Is the Post SPI Sorting Conveyor SMEMA compatible?

Yes. SMEMA handshaking is standard across the PCB handling range, so the Post SPI Sorting Conveyor drops into an existing line alongside other manufacturers' printers, placement and reflow equipment without custom integration work.
