PCB Inverter Station
PCB Inverter Stations
PCB handling equipment moves bare and populated boards between process steps — loading magazines, conveying, buffering, turning, inverting and unloading. It is the connective tissue of an SMT line: the machines that decide whether printers, placement and reflow run continuously or wait on an operator.

PROMATION's FC-50 flip stations are offered for standard flipping of PCBs during two sided production and bi-directional process flow when two sided marking or coating is required. These systems use dual inverted 3mm ESD edge rails to secure product during the flip cycle. This unit provides an intelligent pathway between machines / processes via SMEMA interface and uses PLC timers to track PCB progress.
The bi-directional system can use either manual selection or fully integrated SMEMA for automatic control over the hand back sequence. A hand crank is used to adjust rail width. Roller wheels and leveling feet allow for quick integration into the line.

About the PCB Inverter Station
What is the line interface of the PCB Inverter Station?
Interface: SMEMA spec. 1.2 / NFPA 79. The full specification table for the PCB Inverter Station is published on this page — we do not keep specs in PDFs or images.
How much does the PCB Inverter Station cost?
Price depends on the configuration rather than the base machine — tooling, fixturing, feeders and options move it more than the model does. Tell us the part and the volume and we will send the range for a build that suits it, along with lead time from US stock.
What is the lead time on the PCB Inverter Station?
PROMATION USA holds pcb handling in US stock, so a lead time is usually a delivery date rather than an ocean shipment. Configuration and testing happen here before the machine ships, and the engineers who set it up are the ones who support it afterwards.
Can we see the PCB Inverter Station run our part before we buy?
Yes. Send us the board, the fluid or the fastener and our IPC-certified engineers will run it on the PCB Inverter Station, film the result, and return cycle times and joint quality alongside a quote. There is no cost and no obligation.
Is the PCB Inverter Station SMEMA compatible?
Yes. SMEMA handshaking is standard across the PCB handling range, so the PCB Inverter Station drops into an existing line alongside other manufacturers' printers, placement and reflow equipment without custom integration work.
